Here's some nifty behind the scenes footage from Ghostbusters 2 as the actors and puppeteers behind Slimer test out the mechanics of the robot Slimer puppet thing. It's a cool look at an incredibly complex process that's now been made far less complicated since everything, even actors and screenwriters, are just generated in a computer and slapped together. About a day before the you know what-- the big nasty incident that took down a good chunk of the site, we had the 1950s version of Ghostbusters, created using cleverly edited clips of old movies to look just like a trailer for a vintage Ghostbusters movie. Well it was so awesome, here it is again along with two more-- Raiders of the Lost Ark and Forrest Gump done in the same style.

With the long-anticipated Ghostbusters video game having been out for a little over a week, does the game live up to the hype? Absolutely. The game lives up to every expectation and even exceeds expectations in many ways. I would venture to say that this not only gets my vote for game of the year so far, but it's one of the best games I've ever played.

While we're still waiting for our next-gen Ghostbusters game to come out-- at last word, it was being delayed to coincide with a new Ghostbusters movie-- let's take a trip back in time in our time machine to 1985, where legendary game designer and Activision co-founder David Crane is talking about the Ghostbusters game for the Commodore 64. Ever since the first Ghostbusters movie came out in 1984, everyone knew it was an action story just waiting to be made into a top notch game. There were a couple lousy attempts, but no one until no appears to have made a Ghostbusters game the way you always wanted a Ghostbusters game to be made-- funny, scary, over the top and full of mayhem. The new Ghostbusters games brings back all the original Ghostbusters from the 1984 movie, all the old enemies and locations and new challenges-- all in a cutting edge, next generation fully immersible 3D environment.
