Yesterday, a friend of mine, who is a big fan of People of Wal-Mart, suggested that there should be a People of Waffle House site, considering that often WH trumps Wal-Mart's skankiness by a factor of 10. Sadly, someone is already squatting on peopleofwafflehouse.com, so I snagged WafflePeople.com, set up a Tumblr blog and went to town.

I'm not really much of a gun person, so when I'm watching a movie, my brain just usually registers "handgun" or "automatic rifle" or "sniper rifle", but in order to be a fully proper movie nerd and gun nut, knowing who wielded what kind of gun in what movie is important information. I was a much bigger sports fan when I was a kid than I am now... now my competitive side tends to like things more like World of Warcraft or Magic: The Gathering more than football, basketball, etc. But being a graphic designer by trade, I'm still fascinated by things like sports logo and helmet design-- which is why I ended up spending several hours last night trawling through The Helmet Project's archives of the evolution of football helmets.

I don't even know the name of this site or game or whatever you want to call it. All I know is that for some reason, it incredibly addictive to run your mouse pointer over the big dots and watch them turn into small dots. It's easy to love a website because it has things you like, but there's plenty of websites that are fun becaue it has things you don't agree with. Hell, probably half of the websites I visit on a daily basis I visit because they piss me off and they get me ranting. Whether you hate Michele Bachmann, Obama, Michael Moore or Valentine's Day, Comedy.com has 20 websites that you have to love because of what they're against.

Some people collect stamps, others collect coins and some people collect severed fingers. One man has a life obsession with collecting as many film title screens as humanly possible.
