New images of the upcoming Star Trek MMO... doesn't look half bad [I Heart Video Games]

There's been talk of a Star Trek MMO forever and ever now, and while there's still not a release date for it, we've now got some new images of what the game-in-progress looks like. I'm not really that big of a Trek fan, but this does look like a gorgeous game.

In this MMO players will be able to customize characters and their ships. Exploration isn't limited to already-existing Trek planets. And the game will include Trek alien races such as the Andorians and Klingons. Looks cool, but would I ever play a Star Trek MMO? Probably not-- reason being that the game will probably be full of super-Trekkies who will give you an ubernerd verbal beatdown for not knowing the name of Spock's mother's gynecologist's dog. The window for the Beta test sign up has closed, I would double check the website just incase.

I am a mild Trek fan, but even more of a MMO fan, so it would be nice to see what they pull off.

There are not enough Trekkies or really anything in the world to take on WoW.
